This place is a fantastic stay for couples looking for a private stay in San Juan. Away from the noise of hotels and resorts, you find a peaceful little apartment, hidden in the midst of San Juan. Excellent responsiveness from Jeremy as well, he has been very helpful with any questions we have had throughout our stay.

Jeremy’s cottage was very nice. Plenty of space and bedrooms. The bathroom was clean and spacious. We felt right at home and very comfortable. All of the Newport attractions and recommend restaurants are a short drive from his cottage. The few times I contacted him he was very prompt in answering questions and was helpful. I would go back to Jeremy’s cabin again and would definitely recommend him. My only regret, that had nothing to do with Jeremy, was that I didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub because of the weather. Oh well maybe next time.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Waking up to the sight and sound of the waves and being right on the water was exactly what we needed. The location was perfect, we could easily walk to great restaurants, grab ice cream, and explore the area without having to drive everywhere. It felt like the perfect beach getaway. We made so many great memories and were sad to leave. We already can't wait to come back next year!

The beds were great!  The neighbor was super good to us! Very limited things/ utensils for a kitchen and there's only two chairs for a dinner table and no outdoor fire pit, and no outdoor patio furniture/ picnic table, it need a grill. But overall for the price it worked just fine. I would stay there in a heartbeat again.

We had a nice stay at this lovely two-bedroom home in Portsmouth. The house was cute, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views that made it a relaxing place to unwind.

This is a cute little cottage. It had everything my family needed and was in a great location- walkable to both the water and local restaurants and a quick drive to Newport. Eni was an enthusiastic communicator and provided great recommendations for our travel itinerary.

We didn't travel very far from home to get to Jeremy's place, but it certainly felt like an escape! Our top criteria for this stay was being on the waterfront with good fishing, and boy did it deliver! My son spent nearly the entire time out on the dock catching bass, pickerel, bluegill and crappie. And for the non-angler (me), it was relaxing just being out by the water watching the wildlife. When we arrived on Sunday night, we were a little worried about the noise level-- there is a house right next door with quite a few boats and jet skis and they were having a party. But things quieted down by the next morning and the week was mostly peaceful. We liked it so much we even ended up extending our stay an extra night, and I expect we'll be back again soon.

My friends and I stayed for a weekend and had a great time! The place was perfect for our needs. The AC is not central so it was hot at times on the first floor but each bedroom had window AC’s which helped. The view from the deck was so beautiful and we spent a lot of time on our deck. The location was perfect and there was a ton for us to do!

This was an awesome place! Waking up on the lake was incredible. There was a family of geese with a gosling that my toddler got to watch first thing in the morning. We checked for the geese every day. We watched boats and jet skis, looked at the birds, walked the neighborhood, and slept super peacefully every night. We definitely appreciated the included bug zappers at night! Nothing bit us, but there were tons of tiny moths and midges that would come in if you opened the door at night. It totally makes sense, being on the lake and all! (My toddler and I had fun looking at the moths anyway). The shower had great pressure and the laundry amenities were easy to use. Jeremy was very responsive and easy to get ahold of. Thank you, Jeremy!

Recommend without reservation. Close to Newport, walk to waterfront, restaurants and bars in the water. View from front porch with rocking chairs. Pretty hardwood floors, modernized but left charm! Good value. Host was responsive and helpful. Washer dryer and dishwasher and great speaker for music to get ready for a wedding!

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at the Lake House in Coventry and so glad we found this renovated gem on Johnson’s Pond. The home was impeccably clean and very spacious for 2 people. The weather was quite warm, but the bedroom A/C unit and available fans kept us cool enough. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, especially when the sun was setting, watching the watercraft on the pond. The house binder had plenty of local “things to do” for each season. The hosts provided plenty of communication/information. We would love to stay again on our next trip back home!

I really enjoyed my week-long stay here during the off-season! The hosts were wonderful — super nice, helpful, and very responsive the whole time. The place was clean and cozy, with everything essential I needed. It was so quiet and peaceful, and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. The beach is literally steps away, so I could walk barefoot right over. My favorite part was taking long walks along the shore whenever I wanted. I want to come back!

Relax and enjoy coastal Portsmouth in this cozy family-friendly home near Blue Bill Cove. With 3 bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 twins, and bunk beds), there's plenty of space for everyone. Walk to the  nearby public water access for kayaking, fishing, or sunset strolls, and enjoy nearby restaurants, coffee shops, and beaches. After a day by the shore, unwind in the private hot tub or gather together for a laid-back evening at home.

At check in was told possibly able to get in early. Was told cleaning people were still there but when we arrived no one was there. Jeremy did not respond until 315 ok to go in.  It sleeps 6 towels for 3 only 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel.  Not sure they were clean.  Bedding only had a fitted sheet and they did not feel clean.   The utensils in kitchen were spoons and steaks knives.   Needs some help with the basics for renting out

First this is listed as waterfront which it is not. It is walking distance to the beach. The house has AC but we wanted go open windows on cooler nights. There were no screens (illegal) on the upstairs bedroom window (kids room!) nor the downstairs living room window. It rained 1 night and there is a leak in the room. It rained into the children’s room soaking their belongings. The hot tub had no instructions. Couldn’t use it. We didn’t even know how to open it never mind check to ensure the chemicals were balanced. There were  pans to cook with. There were no napkins or paper towel when we arrived (despite asking if we needed to supply). We arrived and the couch was broke so there was a loveseat for a family of 4. There were 3 chairs for the dining table. There was a giant wasp nest directly outside the back door. Couldn’t have been more disappointed in our stay. This property is clearly owned by a realty group as no one was familiar with the location or amenities.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. We were surprised to read several of these comments, as many of the concerns could have been resolved during your stay had you reached out. For example, detailed hot tub instructions are included in our check-in guide, and we would have been more than happy to walk you through them if needed. Regarding communication, we do utilize a virtual assistant overnight to help answer routine questions when our local team is offline. Any urgent matters are immediately escalated to our on-call staff. While the virtual assistant may not personally know the home, our local management team is very familiar with both the property and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, yes, there was a small roof leak during an unexpected rainstorm. As soon as you notified us, we immediately arranged for an emergency roofing company to come out same day. You let us know that you preferred not to have anyone on the roof during your stay, which we completely respected. The leak occurred between the beds (not directly onto the beds or furniture) and the repair has since been completed. When you let us know that cookware was missing, we immediately ordered a brand-new cookware set. We believe some items may have been removed by previous guests without our knowledge. The couch was not broken, though one of its legs had become loose and slightly crooked; it has since been tightened. We also promptly had the wasp nest removed. We also want to clarify that our listing accurately describes the home as being within walking distance to the beach rather than directly on the waterfront. There is water access nearby. We do not say it is waterfront in our listing description although it is a common mistake. Our team takes great pride in responding quickly and resolving issues whenever they arise. Throughout your stay, we made every effort to address each concern as soon as we were made aware of it. After checkout, you requested a substantial refund in exchange for not leaving a negative review. While we always welcome honest feedback and are happy to make things right when possible, we do not believe it is appropriate to offer refunds in exchange for reviews. We appreciate your feedback, as it has helped us make some improvements for future guests, and we remain committed to providing a great experience for everyone who stays with us.

The house is clearly a flip and needs some definite maintenance. Paint is peeling on both the outside and inside and given the age of the house (potential for lead paint) that made me uneasy. Additionally, there is some weird stuff going on with extension cords plugged into outlets running through makeshift covers. The upstairs was difficult to keep cool without freezing downstairs. The furniture was new and clean but very uncomfortable. The location is great and the host was responsive to my question about AC. The kitchen was modern and nice and the bathroom was small but updated.  Be warned that neighbors next door can be heard in the upstairs bedrooms as the houses are very close to each other. For older  or no kids who don’t spend a lot of time in the house it would be great for the price.

I am very disappointed in our stay here. Based off of the photos we were hoping this would be a great stay. However is seems like they staged the home for pictures and then removed things and did not replace others as the wore out. Pros - Great shower - Dishwasher - Washer/Dryer Cons - Smells (they tried to cover it up with fabreeze and car air fresheners under the beds) -Bed are firmer, but pillows need to be replaced -1 pan with no handle (listed on a review in March so should have been replaced by now (June)) -1 non-stick pan that is so scratched it should not be used. -No measuring cups, no potholders -4 forks (this is a listing for up to 6 people) -Very high countertops and stove is not supported. It is resting on a trim board and the feet are not on the floor. -3 chairs at the table, slanted table -Broken leg on the coffee table -Couch smells -Extension cords coming up through holes in the floor, plugged into outlets. FIRE HAZARD! - Outdoor garbage full of maggots

First, the positives: The location is in the Island Creek area of Portsmouth — a mostly local neighborhood within a short driving distance of Tiverton and other quaint Rhode Island towns. The cottage has a very casual beach-house feel, so if you’re simply looking for a place to crash after a day at the beach, it suits that type of laid-back vibe. Negatives: The cottage is bare-bones. There is no direct beach access -- just a narrow right-of-way path across the street that leads to the water, which could be a nice feature if you happened to have a canoe or kayak, but it’s not what we expected based on the listing. I also do not think this home should be advertised as accommodating six people without more emphasis on the fact that there is only one bathroom.

To clarify for future guests, the water access is through the neighborhood right-of-way directly across the street, which is reflected in the listing photos and description. While it’s not a private beach, many guests enjoy using the access point for kayaking, paddle boarding, or simply enjoying the waterfront setting. As for occupancy, the home is set up to sleep up to six guests comfortably, and the listing does clearly note that there is one bathroom. Many beach cottages in the area have a similar layout, but we understand that every group’s preferences and expectations can vary. We appreciate you staying with us and sharing your perspective!

The place was much smaller than expected and did not accurately match photos. Needed lots of maintenance in areas due to wear and tear over time. There was an odd smell that was downstairs and A/C did not work great upstairs. Beds were uncomfortable and we found hair on the sheets and towels. The host was proactive and the location was close to restaurants and the beach which was nice. However, due to the state of the house we do not believe it is worth the price we paid.

It was a nice stay, as described. Unfortunately the dishwasher was broke, and there were dirty dishes in it that I had to wash as I needed to cook with them. Also, my daughter’s bed was full of dirt/sand.

Average stay. When I arrived, I immediately checked the listing. House is not right on the beach as stated. It has a row of houses in front of it that are actually on the beach. The binder in the house says each room has its own AC which is not the case. Hard to get the upstairs and downstairs at comfortable temperatures at the same time. Location is convenient to Newport and local restaurants.

I'll start with the good... The hosts are very responsive and when we had an issue, they jumped to fix it. The shower had shampoo, and conditioner but no soap or body wash and they sent some body wash over in a matter of hours when I had told them not to worry about it. That said, the house didn't feel clean. To be clear, my family are not neat freaks either. The cottage had visible footprints on the living room walls, and a mystery fluid that was spattered on the trim in the living room as well. The furniture was stained and smelled like BO or maybe pet urin, so the furniture needs to be cleaned deeply and there were dirty towels on the bathroom floor that we ended up washing in the washing machine they have there. We used the hot tub but it felt slimy inside and had items in it like old goggles that were coated in a slippery goo. All in all, a lot of potential and not a bad location. I do know we were here in April, which is off season which shouldn't matter could have been a factor.

Although we don't supply body wash and shampoo and do not have it listed as an amenity, we were happy to provide it to you to make your stay more comfortable! Just as a heads up, it's not typical for Airbnbs to provide these items unless specified in the amenities (: We were not made aware of any issues with the cleanliness of the property during your stay, so I am super disappointed to hear that you felt it was not clean. Our cleaning team sends us photos and videos after every clean before the guest checks in. From the photos, videos and other reviews, we haven't had any problems with the house not being clean for our guests! The hot tub is brand new so it should not have any problems, although it may be slightly slippery due to it only being used once or twice. Regardless, we are sending a technician out to double check on this today. We would welcome you back anytime! If you decide to stay with us in the future, I hope you feel comfortable telling us of issues during your stay as they arise, as we always make sure our guests are comfortable and will do everything in our power to fix anything we may have overlooked.

We enjoyed our stay at Jeremy's place in Portsmouth, RI.  Although we were there on the off-season, it was  nice to be close to the water, but away from the hustle and bustle in Newport.  Newport, however, was a very easy drive and we found a lot of great restaurants and activities in the area.
